My buddy had a few wild turkey breasts that he said he and his wife were not fond of so I decided to take it off his hands. Made some Turkey, rice and tater soup with a side of my homemade whole wheat bread topped with some very aged Dutch Gouda! Good for the Purdue game: Now to prep for the Super Bowl!

They squeaked. I kinda thought the Terp kid was hammered that last shot… but refs don’t like to make a call on such a play with mere seconds left.

I don’t add any water. Milk added how thick or runny you want it. Add a pack of hot sausage to it. Makes it better. Add just a bit of taco seasoning or it gets to salty for my taste. It’s always a bit that, a dash of this. Whatever you like.

And for the Super Bowl... Marinated and reversed seared some of our T-Bones. Matched up with asparagus and Mama's taters. Simple and straight forward. Just the way this ole farm boy likes it!

IMO, if you don't like wild turkey breast, you don't like turkey. Or possibly, they overcooked it in the past and now think they don't like it. Much the same as many folks' opinion of venison.

Made some of that venison queso dip today. Man that stuff is good. I cooked a pound each of hot sausage and deer meat, which is way too much for one batch. At least for us. Froze about half of it to have when we make this again. I also used a 2 lb block of cheese. Like MuzzleLoader said just add more of this or less of that to suit your taste. Thanks for that recipe.

Sorry, I did forget to mention that it makes a lot. But that’s exactly what we do is freeze it and boy is it addicting. So good.

Basketball starting tourneys and ya gotta eat! Deer fajitas and some crispy bass fillets. Fish are biting, sheds need found and turkeys gobbling. Good to be out!!
