Well I tried buckbuster13’s thin sliced roast beef (deer) and featherduster’s fish pot pie this weekend and both were great. I will admit I was hesitant on the fish pot pie but it was very good. Something different that is for sure. Both will happen again in the dinner rotations. Thanks guys for the ideas.

Glad you got some use from others efforts. I have learned alot both here and other sites about cooking and smoking game and meats. We have tried several things we read about, some great and some different. I get just as big a kick out of sharing my results as we do eating them ourselves.

Glad to see members experimenting with cooking wild game. Most guys just throw it on a grill and call it a day. A lot of women won't cook wild game because they have never had it prepared in for them other than burned on a grill. My wife and I challenge each other with recipes. Learning how to cook will make you appreciate every bite of the things you harvest.
BON APPETIT!
