Anybody who hunts out west should be familiar with the issue of ambiguity of corner crossing. It looks like some hunters were cited for trespassing and are fighting the issue. I'm not asking anyone to donate, just putting this out there so everyone knows the issue may be finally coming to a head and hopefully something gets resolved. Corner crossing issue

Firm believer that all land bought by the government should have a right of way for public access. If no access then government should pass. If seller can't get a right of way before sale, no sale. I know of several nice chunks in southern Indiana that are landlocked. A couple show a "easement" buy I just don't feel like the argument is worth it especially when you look at them on a map and know that it's going to turn into one.

I've always called it corner hopping and I do it occasionally. I try to be extremely careful when I'm hugging lines on any property but mistakes happen.
I think I even had a post here asking Morrison about it.

This issue started in the late 1800s as the government gave land to the railroad companies. They gave them a grant of every other square mile in a 40-mile wide swath of land in numerous places across the country. Wyoming and Oregon are two that come to mind.

Got love all the speculation around this case…. Some things you just can’t make up IMO
