I wasn't aware that Hodgdon purchased BH209. I guess this happened sometime last October if I'm reading it right.

They bought out a lot of others too. They own their brand, IMR, Ramshot, Winchester, Accurate, and Black Horn. They closed the Goex Plant due the infeasibility of rebuilding that plant after the fire. However, I think Goex will be back as their are rumors of swiss powder company maybe purchasing. I am glad, that I load Swiss Black Pwdr in my Shiloh Sharps 1874. As for Hodgdon, I kinda like the one stop for all when looking for a recipe or as I am right now doing load development for Christensen Arms Mesa Long Range in 6.5 PRC. I thought my 7 rem mag was bad ass, this round flat out beats that hands down.!40 grain bullet pushing 3000 fps. At 500 yards under normal shooting conditions 5-10 mph wind, 40*-60* temps, I am 6.5 MOA low or 34 inch drop. I am loading IMR 4831 @ 55 grains

Sounds like you have quite a bit of experience with loose powder. Me, I've never touched it before. This will be my first time handling. I tried my best to find BH209 but I could not find it anywhere. I hear the Triple 7 FFFg is dirty but, I really wanted to break away from pyrodex pellets. So, not knowing when I'll ever see BH209 back on the shelves, I went ahead with Triple 7 FFFg.
I'll swab between each shot to cut down on build up and try for a more consistent shot placement.

Or a 175g 7mm Sierra Matchking at 3475 fps to be? (Look up 7mm Allen Magnum) From a 300 yd zero a 180g Berger VLD needs 13.25 moa to get on target at 1,000 yds.

The best mixture to swab between shots is a mixture of murphys oil soap, rubbing alchol, and hydrogen peroxide , or Moose Milk> I use the murphy's recipe in my blackpowder guns. As far as general clean up , dawn dish soap and hot water. I shoot black powder cartridge silhouette in 45-70 Shiloh Sharps 1874.
Murphy's Mixture:1/3 isopropyl alcohol (70%?), 1/3 hydrogen peroxide (drug store strength), 1/3 Murphy's Oil Soap. I just use 1/2 cup mixture of each. Make the mixture then take some 2.5 inch round patches and soak them to where they are just moist. If you have liquid coming out, ring them out. You just want them damp. If you need some pm your mailing address and I will send you some. I think my great great grandsons will have enough patches. LOL.
Use will also need a good ram rod or stiff rod and a jag if you dont have one.
