Other than that I cannot find legal hunting hours for squirrels and other game, I guess I just always assumed it was sawn till dusk. Deer is 1/2 hour before sunrise for your area to 1/2 hour after sunset. That changes every day, and you can hop on the internet and google sunrise/sunset times for your particular hunting area. I don't know about the others without looking in the 2021/2022 game regs.

Thank you, I knew that deer was half before and half after, and have just been following that with my squirrel hunts. Never heard anything about hours so I just end up at my truck by sunset to play it safe.

It's going to be hard to shoot any after the sun goes down so it's until you can't see them good enough to shoot them. I'm pretty sure most squirrels go into hiding at dark because there are a lot of predators out at night.

If you can see them without the aid of an artificial light, they are legal to shoot. About the only time that comes in handy is lots of moonlight while snow is on the ground and stalking VERY SLOWLY for rabbits like Elmer Fudd!

I was wondering what was stopping people from annihilating rabbits at night. I didn't even think about the artificial light restriction. I've got one spot where I coyote hunt at night and I always see a ton of rabbits.

That seems unsafe if you weren't hunting an open field.
