Anyone know anything about nose bleeds? I've started getting them this summer. I never got them before. They are getting more frequent and lasting longer. I'm going to try to see a doctor next week. I had one last night that lasted for an hour and 15 minutes. It was a gusher too. My bathroom looked like a murder scene. I left work early today. I just wasnt feeling right. I checked my blood pressure at the pharmacy machine and it was a little high but nothing major.

Good luck with that. Sorry to hear it. I don't really know anything about them.

I'd say blood pressure, but I'm not a doctor. Good that you are going to get checked out. Have you been eating anything in particular before you get them? Salty? higher caffeine?

There have been several periods in my life where I'd get some real gushers, a couple times per week maybe, for about a month. Then I may go several years and never get one, then another short stretch would come along and I'd get them again for a while.
I never have done anything for it, but would probably go in if it didn't sort itself out pretty quick.
My dad has had to get arteries (?) cauterized up his nose to stop nose bleeds.

I've had spells in both summer and winter.

I’m in the same boat. Used to get them and then they’d just go away. Haven’t had any for quite a long time now. My son got them too when he was younger, but hasn’t for a while now. Never saw a doctor for them though, because like above they’d quit and wouldn’t continue for long periods of time. I never could figure out why I got them.

I've never had them until this summer. I have no clue what has changed. Getting older I guess. High mileage. Starting to have fluid leaks.

About six months ago I started blowing blood out of my nose but not bleeding so much. Blood would not run out of my nose but when I blew it then I got some,..especially when I first got up in the morning. That was every morning. I ended up getting some Ayr Saline Nasal Gel No-Drip Sinus Spray and that knocked it. See.. www.cvs.com/shop/ayr-saline-nasal-gel-no-drip-sinus-prodid-459324

Weird thing about mine was I could taste the blood before it came out my nose, so I knew one was coming. A lot of times still wasn’t enough time to grab something and get ready.

You probably have a blood vessel close to or on the surface. When it ruptures it is hard to stop. It is not in the best environment to heal. It just keeps getting worse. I had one like that and the last time it started bleeding it would not stop. A trip to the ER and the Doctor wannabe called in a EAR, Nose and Throat specialist to do surgery. The ENT guy called for a soldering iron and showed the intern how to cauterize the ends. Well it looked like a soldering iron to me. No more problems. I would skip your Doctor and just go to an Ear, Nose, Throat guy.

Went to the Doc, he said that I had vessels to close to the surface and at night when I was sleeping My airways would dry out and they would crack open. The Doc said if that didn't take care of it, it would probably have to cauterized ! He said like woody said to get some nasel gel and swab before bedtime, at first it didn't seem to help, but havn't had one in a couple months now (knock on wood)...... Hope you get them stopped soon , keep us informed

I'm in the same boat as a lot of guys here it seems. I will go through spells where I get them and then nothing for a while. Seems to be worse in the dry winter air and a little in the spring when the little bit of allergies I have act up.
