My daughter got us one for Christmas. It was around $70 at Walmart. We use it a lot. It's the kind that has more of a basket cooking compartment. We make burgers, chicken, fries, etc. in it. It works great for heating frozen food.

This is the one we have. I was hesitant to get one, but I love it and we use it darn near everyday. Making wings in it, frozen or thawed, is so quick and easy. Can even rotisserie a chicken if you want to. www.kalorik.com/products/maxx-air-fryer

Get a bigger one than you think you need. We love ours. Throw anything in there and it heats it up very nicely. Things come out crispy rather than soggy like if you put it in the microwave.

Can you do fresh fish fillets in it? I don’t see why not. Pretty sure the last pic I saw from MuzzleLoader in the fishing thread his bass were done in an air fryer.

Believe it or not but take a section of deer backstrap, brush it with melted bacon drippings, 400° for 15 mins and it is a perfect medium rare. I was shocked it came out so good.

We got a new stove with an air fry setting for an absolute steal ($1300 stove for $825 new).
I literally air fry everything I cook.

Can you do fresh fish fillets in it? Yes, I do often. Both breaded and just basted with butter and seasoned. Big thumbs up on the wings as well. We have the Instapot Dou Crisp, or something like that. I steam the wings (or thighs or legs) and then season them. Then another 10 minutes on air fry. I'm a self-admitted wing snob and have never been disappointed. There is a story associated with ours. We bought it for my FIL for Christmas. He's a recent widower and eats like crap, but constantly downs himself for his eating habits. We though it would be an easy way for him to make healthy meals without getting out every pan in the kitchen. He brought it back to us in late January because "it looked too complicated." The packaging tape had not been cut on the box.

I will say, if and when you get an air frier, cook times are much less than you anticipate set for way lower than you think and check temp with a thermometer. Once you get the hang of it you'll know what temp and time to cook different things with. It's a learning curve at first but is an awesome tool to have and easy to learn.

Just momma and me so I bought a Ninja 4 quart basket style.
I use it a LOT.
We very seldom use the stove or oven anymore.
Chicken (fresh and frozen precooked) Shrimp (fresh and frozen precooked) Pork chops Steaks Fish (fresh and frozen precooked) Cheese Burgers French Fries Baked Potatoes Chicken pot pies Chicken Stir Fry Fajitas Grilled Cheese Etc...
One absolute necessity is a digital meat thermometer. Especially on fresh chicken. 165 internal temperature.
Anything that you cook start low and slow and check it often. You can always cook a little longer but you cant uncook anything.

Sweet potato fries are a favorite here….Hard boiled eggs are different with air not water.
Goggle is your friend when finding information on air frying temps and times!
