Meh, 5/8" total here from yesterday. Hardly any puddles. Spit a bit this morning and that's all.

I wish. The grass here in some spots is turning blue.

Looks like you guys up North may see rain next few day! Definitely in a summer stretch now in the Midwest God, I hope so. Clover is starting to curl and the grass is starting to turn blue where it's not in shade. The brassicas/beets that I planted germinated and are about 3" tall but they are wilted in areas.

In the first 16 days of July we received 8 inches of rain.
Since then...nothing. Not a drop of measurable rainfall.
Three weeks of nothing, zip, nada, squat...

We got smashed in South Bend around 6pm. Huge wind and rain came blowing thru the shop. Easily 50mph wind, and online showed 2.5" hit in spots.
Firing up again right now.

I saw in the the news last 20 days we got .22 inches of rain. The 20 previous we got 16 inches. Mother nature seems to average out.

I ended up with 1 3/8" overnight. I enjoyed the storms though. Loud cracks of thunder with barely any wind.

Power went out around 11pm, came back on at around 4am or so NIPSCO said. The power came back on and off 8 or 9 times in about 5 min when it happened I just went and tripped the main breaker - I was afraid that something would get fried.
We had 1 3/4" overnight, but I am still a good 2" low in the stock tank by the house that I am using as a small pond, all due to evaporation. The pond had dropped 6" this summer, I will see if it came up any, it's still almost 4' low.

Typical. Lightening is almost constant. Thunder is too. Not a drop of rain, yet 20 miles North of me is getting pounded. Same thing happened last night, they had 2.5 inches, I got some but not even enough to register in the rain gauge.
Tonight it looks like it will all miss me to the North too.

It looked like we would get a bunch then it split went north/south and it fizzled out. Barely a sprinkle..

We finally got 1 1/4" that we needed badly. When I mowed last Saturday it was a dust storm!
