Did anyone come into your house during that time without a mask? Did they wash their hands? Did you have food delivered to you? If so, did you wear gloves and/or wipe the packaging down? Did you go to the gas station and use the pump without washing your hands? Did you wash your hands after handling the mail? Even if there is nothing you can think of, the reality is nothing is 100% when it comes to this virus. I hope you and your wife are feeling better now. Did your doctor recommend that both of you should get the vaccine? That's what we had Mom do. We went to the store shopping for her. We wore gloves and a mask. When she got the mail she wore gloves, putting the mail in a plastic bag, and put it on newspaper on the buffet to let it sit for a week before opening it. Her groceries sat for a week without being touched so the virus would die on it's own. I use gloves at the gas station but have done that for years because I drive a diesel. Mom didn't leave her property nor did she have anyone over to the house other than my sister and I. We both took all the precautions that was preached. She ended up dying from Pancreatic cancer in early June, 2 weeks after being diagnosed with it. I will be getting my 2nd shot of the Pfizer vaccine in 6 days. So sorry for your loss. I got my second shot of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday evening.

With all due respect, I have to disagree with your position that masks weren't doing any good. The corona virus is spread like other viruses such as the flu. This season the flu numbers have been down substantially and a good part of the reason (according to health experts) is because of the social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing that people have been doing to help slow the spread of the corona virus. www.healthline.com/health-news/why-the-flu-season-basically-disappeared-this-yearMy medical field friends have told me they just didn't do flu tests around here, every "flu like symptoms" person was marked down as covid and told to follow those protocols no matter what the covid test came back as. Exactly....not hard to figure out for most.....
