A buddy and I have been buying elk preference points since the system started and haven't used any yet. Since the only trophy areas that I know of are wilderness, that requires a guide (or a lot of equipment that we don't have), so we will probably still keep buying and go one of these years, but I agree with you on the pronghorn and also the mule deer too if this passes. IIRC we have 7 or 8 Mulie points and 5 or 6 pronghorn points. By far one of the biggest joke laws you can hike bird watch look at trees do what ever you want with out a guide but go hunting and you have to have one Makes you wonder who got that law passed

I’d always buy a lope tag when we hunted mule deer in WY tags were not that bad and who wants to tag out than have nothing to hunt while your buddies still hunted especially when your out for two weeks and you get lucky the first day or two But for 600 I’d probably pass now, I might of went and just hunted them for fun before but now I’d look at another State

Yep! Wyoming outfitters association. They even had the audacity to send an email asking for support to oppose the 90/10 bill.

Some outfitters are something else. Last time I was there hunting with my cousin, we were going from private property to private property where he knew the owners and had permission. We came upon one property where SNS Outfitters had plastered their "leased to SNS, no hunting" signs all over the entrance. My cousin called the landowner and the landowner was mildly upset to say the least, he never leased out his ground.........
Needless to say, we didn't pay any attention to the signs and did a bunch of scouting.

There was another state where outfitters were pushing some silly law. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Seems like a trophy hunt in decent terrain.
