Wonder how many other states will honor this being a license is not needed?
Is this just for OPEN carry or will you be able to conceal carry also?
I would also say the State Police with loose money on this also.
I have a life time license so this most likely doesn’t affect me either way but there looks to be some questions!

I read somewhere about it that you would more than likely still need a ltch to carry in most other states.

Several other states have similar rules. Montana, for example.
I'm not sure what the process is for travelling out of state, where a permit is required.

It's all about reprocity, what state honors each others license. That is why there was a push to get a law passed that the LCH was like a drivers license. Good in one state, good in all 50, no exceptions. Well, that didn't get passed during the last administration, and for sure it won't be revisited during this one.

I personally would rather see it a requirement to have a license. If you have nothing to hide, and have $100 one time in your life, get the lifetime and be done. Having one, I also dont see why it shouldnt be good in every state. If it's good enough in one, it should be good in all.

But say this passes, and LTC permits are no longer issued in Indiana. Do reciprocal states not require a license in their state at all for a person from Indiana? If they still require something, what is a Hoosier to do if they want to carry in another state? I'm not sure how far the reciprocity extends.

As of February 18, 2021, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota (residents only; concealed carry only), Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah (effective May 5, 2021), Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming (residents only for concealed carry) do not require a permit to carry a loaded concealed firearm for any person of age who is not prohibited from owning a firearm. Permitless carry in North Dakota and Wyoming is applicable to residents only; nonresidents must have a permit to carry a concealed handgun in these states or without a permit must open carry in the case of Wyoming. Permitless concealed carry in Mississippi only covers certain manners of carrying. Permitless carry in Oklahoma applies to both residents and nonresidents 21+ as well as 18+ nonresidents who can carry without a permit in their home state. All aforementioned jurisdictions do not require a permit to openly carry either except for North Dakota and certain localities in Missouri. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concealed_carry_in_the_United_States#Unrestricted
