DWI and reckless driving hmmmm wonder if they took or suspended his license?? If his license was taken or suspended was the comercial filmed while he didnt have a license? He drove while filming the comercial, if a truck driver gets a license suspended he doesn't get to keep them to work. Intrresting info!

Looks like Jeep pulled the ad from Youtube I see why they did that, but I have a real hard time believing that Jeep didn't know about that DUI and IMO, likely let it ride until the spot aired during the Super Bowl instead of taking the giant financial hit that would have occurred if they had cancelled the ad.

I heard on the radio that his blood alchohol content was .02, and he was pulled over taking pictures in a park. Then said NJ law is .08. So not sure why the big deal? But surprised that even got put out, unless they expected it not to bring much attention?

Personally I don’t believe it was pulled do to the DUI... there are plenty of the videos on YouTube but mostly about politics when showing it.

Federal recreation area, so maybe handled by a Marshall? I would guess the reckless driving part got him in trouble if his level was that low. It wouldn't have got out in a local report.

However unlikely.......it is possible that his BAC did reach the threshold after his arrest.

Field tests are for screening only. After arrest BAC levels are taken from a blood draw and the analytics from the certified lab with QA/QC standards are used for prosecution. Depending on how long it took to get a blood draw, the alcohol could've been burned out of his system by then...or it could've not been very high at all. No way to know what his BAC was at the peek.
