Luke and I took a trip over to visit with treetop on Saturday and wet a line in his pond. It's a trip on the opposite side of the state, so it ends up being an all day excursion for us! He had some fish culling he was wanting done to help the balance of the population so he graciously invited us for the task. So here was the haul out. Should help the bluegill and perch population a little. I want to give Dave a huge thank you again for having us over. We enjoyed a good lunch and always have great conversation and a few laughs. Thanks my friend! Anytime sir always a good time and I enjoy watching Luke catch them From the looks of it I still need to pull a few more I tossed some food out for them after you left still a few bigger ones dang the luck I’m going to have to fish

They eat well I feed them every night
Just a plug but it’s true the food and fish that Esshup sells works and his advice is priceless. I’ve had this pond for 20 years and have never had fish this big or heavy. Luke pulled two perch out that we’re pushing 10 inch they were dang nice two years ago they were 4 inchs maybe when I got them for Scott

That is awesome. I had always been hesitant of suggesting feeding fish in ponds because of excess nutrients and the need to continue. The proof is in the pudding. It has changed my mind over the past few years of his puctures

It has changed my mind over the past few years of his puctures I don’t know if it’s a issue or not. I don’t believe I have any more weeds than normal but my pond is more wildlife than swimming boating family type pond so I allow more weeds and plants than some people would

He has you covered and your chunky bass confirm that. Rooted weeds are not bad unless it is really invasive. I am thinking more of filaments algae or even the microscopic that turns your water into pea soup.

It has changed my mind over the past few years of his puctures The thing about feeding the fish is to get a good fish that the fish can digest the majority of the fish food. Like feeding your dog cheap dog food, you have MUCH bigger turds to pick up. The more that passes thru a fish the more fertilizer there is for weeds and algae.

When I switched from Purina Aquamax (now Purina Sportfish) my filamentous algae dropped by 50% or more.

Another fish reduction mission accomplished. This kid is raking them in! Esshup is having Luke do some population reducing due to low water levels.

Wipers are lighting up night crawlers in the rivers right now. Saw an old guy land 2 that were easy 10 pounds, maybe bigger.
Of course I could only catch ditch pickles and sunfish....always next time.

From earlier this week. This kid cant get enough. My mom showed me a bumper sticker my dad had in a dresser drawer. It said to "get kids hooked on fishing, so they wouldnt get hooked on drugs". I know my dad is looking down and saying, "mission accomplished".
