A bust for us this weekend. Saw some steelhead but nothing biting. Went to Berrien Springs, MI and watched the fish ladder. Saw a couple going thru. Nice weather at least.

That’s in Crane correct? Still let the public in there to fish? Yes on Crane and no must be with someone who can access Guessing I can get in with my work ID since I work for the government. May have to check on that and make a day trip sometime. Went there years ago as a kid, we rented a boat and fished all day.

Looks like a channel cat and a couple of bass too!! Yep a nice cat on an ultralight and 4 or 5 bass, 2 nice gills and a filletable perch. We caught 44 crappie the cat and a couple bass from the same spot. We decided we were close to our limit on crappie so we worked another 2 hrs to find the last few. It was a good day.

That your boat looks like a nice set up No my buddy's. It is a nice fishing rig. Mine is a 16ft flat bottom with a 25 hp. I can't afford a new boat like that

Does the hnf butt up against the camp? It sure does and our spot is on that side. About 25 feet and we are in the forestry. Then Hardin ridge boat ramp is only 3 miles. Hard to beat the location that’s for sure.

On Monroe it is early and off by noon Saturdays. I just have a flat bottom boat so it gets dangerous when there is a crowd

We fish from our ski boat and do pretty good in some coves all around the lake. I sure do miss my buddy that had the pontoon and we would troll and catch all kinds of fish. He left the campground and sold his boat so no fishing with him anymore. I wouldn’t mind a flat bottom or v-hull to just fish from. If you ever troll I can tell you where we would catch all our fish.

I am still ate up with walleye. Usually end up with cats crappie and ditch pickles. If you are interested in a fixer up boat I have my 1972 polarcraft 16' boat and trailer for sale. Have not posted it yet because I wanted to fix the trailer. It is a great set up, lots of storage. Needs a motor. Some dents and dings but floats and fishes.
