Whatcha going to do with your deer? Recipes, smoker or whatever. Let’s see what your making. Some deer meat balls with Larosas sauce, mozzarella cheese melted/browned with broiler.

I just typically do the usual, standard things with venison. I need to step it up and learn some new things.

Well its not deer but I did shoot it. When I was getting ready to grind up the frozen deer and my unfrozen deer I accidentally grabbed some packages that I thought were deer. It happen to be 3 packages of goose breasts. We usually slice it and fry it to get it tender enough to eat but since it was half thawed out I decided to grind it up. So I tried some out tonight. Just added some spices and fried it. Turned out really good.

I am hoping to harvest a few before the season goes out so I can make some goose sausage.

Thats what we usually do with it but I got 10lbs of it ground up. Gonna give it a go in spaghetti and other dishes.

Yesterday my wife made some pasties with ground venison and ground pork. They're really good, but could use a sauce or gravy of some kind.
