My son-in-law has really gotten into reloading. Saw him last night and he said components are impossible to get now. Yep, you have to be both lucky and quick on your feet to score.

I am still getting some stuff from local small town gun shops. The big stores are bleak, that's for sure. As said, just gotta be at the ready to jump when you do find stuff.

I will not pay gouging prices on anything. If I cant get something, that gun will just sit and use something else that is fully supplied.

I have some powder still in limbo in Oregon. I heard of a deal, pulled the trigger and then found out that it's impossible for a private party to legally ship powder HazMat without going through a $300 class to be certified as a HazMat shipper. Luckily the person found a shipping company, but shipping and packaging isn't cheap.

My son stocked up for me before this round. Bought four 500 count 9mm and four 20 count for my 308. That should be enough for now. My youngest Sam the welder takes care of me that's for sure.

Saw a box of Hornady .338 Lapua on the shelf in the Attica lumber yard a couple of days ago. Price tag read $104.99 for 20 rounds!
Glad I don't own a .338

Jesus, I'm glad that I bought 9mm ammo when it was cheap. I recently bought an HK SP5 that I'm considering SBRing into an MP5. I have zero 9mm ammunition, but refuse to pay today's going rate. 60 cents per round sells out in minutes. My maximum is 40 cpr -- and thats still twice what the stuff was selling for pre-election year. I have 1000 rounds of Winchester on backorder for 39 cpr, but the expected date keeps getting pushed back. I guess we'll see if it gets fulfilled. Well, my Winchester is still on backorder, but I did score on a 1000-round case of CCI 9MM for $379 from Brownells Thursday and FedEx is delivering it to me today. It's a sad day when 38 cents per round is a great deal on 9MM ammo. LOL!

I just realized that I only have about 120-150 rounds of 17 HMR ammo for my Savage. I will keep an eye out for the 200 count boxes of CCI A17 ammo, but refuse to pay more than $79/box. If I run out I have plenty for my 17 Mach II and IF THAT runs out I will break out the 10/22, or talk to a buddy and see if I can sweet talk him to casting my a bunch of 60 grain .223 bullets. Fill the .223 case with Trail Boss and it's going 900-1,000 fps.

going to head out this weekend and see if I can't locate some, after I get done painting the bathroom that is. Need to find some .223 for the beaver den send off here in about 3 months or so, if anyone would like to contribute to the cause of tannerite that would be awesome. Shooting for around 50LB this spring. They are about as bad as a crew of loggers hopped up on dirty meth. Don't have a tree within 20 feet of the lake.

If you havent been out recently, you are in for the shock of your life!

Ditto what deadeer said. I'd make liberal use of Conibear 330's for a few weeks before I went the Tannerite route.

Anyone around Rushville, the wife and I stopped in Field's Outdoors Wednesday; they had several pallets of ammo setting around. I didn't pay any attention to calibers because I was checking to see if they had primers. Would be worth a call if you're close enough.

Stopped in Academy in Evansville today.
No .223 or 9mm but lots of other stuff.
I picked up some 380. I’ve got plenty of stopper .380s so I bought some FMJ.
They had it all up front behind a counter. I guess too many folks were picking up more than their share off the shelves.

Yesterday in LaPorte RURAL KING had a grand opening of their new store. When the doors opened at 7:00am,there was a line with approx.200 people out front. Almost all the people in that line filed right into the sporting goods section where they had 1 rolling shelf with about 40 different sizes of ammo in limited amounts.
People were limited to 2 boxes each.
I didn't find what I was looking for so I bought 1 box of steel waterfowl loads just because.
