The wife and I made one of our extra special Sunday Buffets.
The wife wilted some fresh spinach in melted butter then created 5 spinach nests and poached some farm fresh eggs in them. She also sauteed in butter some MOREL mushrooms.
While she was doing this in the house I was outside BLACKENING some Lake Erie Walleyes and grilling some Doves wrapped in bacon and basted with some BBQ sauce.
We washed this down with orange juice and then enjoyed some oven fresh biscuits smothered in some cherry jam from a family owned orchard in Traverse City, Michigan along with some fresh coffee.
The morels were from our property, the Walleye I caught this spring in Lake Erie, the doves were from this past fall and the eggs are from our neighbor who raises some chickens.
Photo attached.
