With no expense spared on the arrow, I'm kind of surprised it didn't have a lighted nock, too. Of course if he (or she) had spent the extra $10 on the lighted nock, they would've been able to find the arrow and you would've never known they had been there. The Alpha Brite is a lighted nock. It wasn’t lit when my grandson saw it.

$48 dollar arrow will make you selective. You'd still let fly at a spike, hush.

I've had some theft issues here at my new place. It's like a punch in the gut. It's not about the material items for me, it's just hard to accept that we've got people like that around here. I like to think the best of people, but that's hard to do when stuff starts coming up missing. You start eyeballing everybody driving past with suspicion. I guess it's a testament to the human condition. It's really a shame. Surprised we got people like that around here??? In Lawrence county??? Stealing stuff? Surely I missed the sarcasm

It seems we had some road poachers by camp last night. The people there said a spotlight took 4 shot across the bottom field about midnight. Law enforcement couldn't get ther quick enough and they didn't see anybody drive or walk unto the field. My brother is going to look around this afternoon and I'll go check after work. That sucks. Did you or him find anything??

I follow the ICO pages on Facebook. I think the reason a lot of those poachers have to use any means to get a deer to feed their family is because they have spent all their money on pickups, cell phones, guns and drugs.
I know I should be judgemental but I often them using nice trucks and charges of meth/pot possesion.

I've yet to ever meet a trespassing poacher scum that truly was doing it for food....... You think they are just after antlers then? Personally I believe it’s about a 50/50 split between food and anthers and joy killing falls in there also BTW .... poacher is a broad term for sure!

The ones I've dealt with it is the kill, the antlers or purely the DGF mentality for anyone else in this world.

BTW .... poacher is a broad term for sure! Very much so in one sense, but they actually not; anyone that harvests a deer illegally is quite specific. However, most folks think of the term as those habitually or flippantly or knowingly committing an illegal act to kill something.

Yeah... illegally can be a huge list of things for sure from FMJ ammunition to shooting 2 minutes before or after legal time the list goes on!
But as I stated it’s not all for the sake of antlers

Had reports of a 200 in. deer roaming around where I hunted, and that very next day they are coming out of the wood work to look/shoot him. The first 2 days of gun, probably 1-2 cars a day, since the announcement of the buck came out there have been guys coming out 3 and 4 times a day cruising real slow around the country block where they seen the deer.
It's almost to the point I thought about calling the CO, not like he can do anything except catch them in the act. Point in case, I came out of the woods yesterday around 5:00 and noticed the top part of a truck down the road about 1/2 mile or so, looked at him thru my bino's and he started backing up to crest the hill so I couldn't see him. Then 10 minutes later he comes down the road to find me standing there watching him. Same truck I've seen out there a total of 4 times in 2 days. If he is driving 5mph he is driving 2mph down the gravel road.
I could be wrong they could be just looking at the deer, however whenever they pull off the road and park in a field after legal light is over and don't move until they see me come up behind them with my lights on, it tells me something is a little off about this particular truck.
