Here we are again, in the season of giving. I know this has been a bad year for many, but I humbly ask you to donate to this worthy cause if you can. Since 1947 the Marines "Toys for Tots" program has been distributing new toys to children who might otherwise not receive any gifts at Christmas time. If you've not heard of them, or would like more information, please go here, www.toysfortots.org to learn all about them. As a "dormant" Marine, this is one of the few "charities" that I trust explicitly. You can donate money if you choose, but their main focus is toys. They ask that you donate new, unwrapped toys, and they do their best to match the donations to age/sex appropriate children. The toys don't have to be expensive, but they do ask that they be new. I found a Toys for Tots drop box at my local Menards this week, so I felt obligated to drop some toys into the box. Many stores participate. I know Menards and Target both set out donation boxes, but they are all over the place if you pay attention. Please donate what you can, or feel comfortable doing. A child's smile has no intrinsic value, but is priceless just the same. Please step up, after all, "it's for the children"... Thank you for your consideration.

We always give to the toys for tots during the Christmas parade in our town. Throw a couple new toys on the vehicles when they go by and know we’ve done our part. In the past we’ve also picked families and bought Christmas for all of them. There’s something special to deliver stuff to a family and see the smiles on their faces. Makes it all worth it.

Great program!
Our church has “adopted” about 150 local families to provide toys and clothes for their kiddoes.
Thanks for posting this as when my wife and I are shopping for our “adopted kiddoes” we will pick up some extras for Toys for Tots.

Great program. Been a member for years. I typically donate venison to their wild game dinner. Great Cause!
