Confirmed zero on half my deer guns today, the most important ones! Saturday will be the novelty ones, you know, evil black ones. Lol. I rotate thru them all during the season, putting them away for good each trigger pull. Heavy woods get short range cartridges, fields get longer range ones. Some guns shoot better than others, some feel better, etc. Just fun to rotate them thru the season. My number one is a TC Encore, with 24" MGM 270win barrel. Bullseye69 threaded it and made a custom muzzle brake for it. I worked up a load with 140gr Barnes TSX. What a shooter. She is my sweetheart! uploading pictures100yd 3 shot group Picture of my drop reference. I have since moved the poi up 1". image uploadHere is my public land "park hunt" gun. It's another Encore, with a 24" MGM 358win with the neck shortened to 1.8" case length. All stainless for any weather conditions that we sit thru at park hunts. Bullseye69 did the brake on this one as well.

Double checked all my guns I'll be using this week also. Didn't have to shoot much or even turn any scope knobs.

I'll do some zeroing this week as well. I have a Leupold CDS scope on my new Browning x bolt hunter. I'm anxious to see how it works with the custom turrets. If it works as advertised, zeroing won't take long.

Got the 6mm Creedmoor and the .450 Bushmaster dialed in today. All shots touching at 50 yards with both guns, so in the thick and hilly country that I hunt, I'm set. Now I just need to get my muzzleloader dialed in this week.

The CVS Optima V2 Muzzleloader is now dialed in with the same "all shots touching" at 50 yards like my rifles. All blinds are set up, my climber is ready, and my ladder stand is secured. Let's gooo!

I need to shoot the .243 a bit more. I only had 6 bullets ready to go bang. I thought I had more, but I guess not, they were the same color box, but .308. I'll have more loaded in a few, I have all the components. 1" high at 100 yds shouldn't also be 1" high at 200............. A 3 shot group at each distance will tell the story. Then verify POI and fps with the 7mm Allen Magnum, then do some work with a new .308 that I just picked up today. Scope is going on tonight providing the rings are the correct ones (nevermind, they aren't the correct ones unless I use a different scope. The scope I wanted to use has a 30mm tube, the rings are 1"). The "correct" rings (providing they are high enough) will arrive tomorrow. Verify the .450 Bushmaster is still good to go @ 100 and I'm set.
