2020 Waterfowl Draw Information
Congratulations! You were selected to participate in the 2020 Reserved Waterfowl Draw Hunt. To claim your reservation(s), you must present your hunting license and your driver’s license to the check station attendant. Reservations are not transferable.
You must have a party of three hunters to hunt Monroe Lake. On all other properties you must be accompanied by at least one, but no more than two hunters, to comprise a party of two or three. All hunters must possess the required license, stamp(s), and a Harvest Information Program (HIP) number to hunt waterfowl.
Shotgun shells loaded with approved non‐toxic shot are required to hunt waterfowl. Maximum allowable shot size is “T.” The number of shot shells allowed per hunter may be limited on certain hunting sites.
Please be aware that due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings will be required at property drawings.
Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) reserved hunts are two days. Reservations for the two day hunts are claimed by 5:30 a.m. on the first day of each hunt. Successful hunters may hunt until sunset on the first day of their hunt and until noon on the 2nd day of the hunt.
Hovey Lake FWA has water areas and field areas available. The availability of either type is not guaranteed to any party of hunters. Neither blinds nor boats will be supplied to hunters hunting the main lake at Hovey Lake, so hunters must supply their own boats.
Kankakee FWA provides boats (with oars) for all blinds that require one. The office is open week days from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CT.
Kingsbury FWA does not provide boats.
LaSalle FWA provides boats and blinds for only a few hunting sites. Hunters must provide their own boats to
access all other sites.
Province Pond Wetland Conservation Area has no required check in for the property (no hunt cards), but hunters should sign in at the main office on the waiver. A map will be emailed to you with the zone that you have been selected to hunt.
Willow Slough FWA no longer provides boats and blinds. Hunters will choose from stake or zone locations. Almost all locations require a boat for access.
