Just got my freezer delivered, last one in 100 miles. Everyone else must have heard about the Ben & Jerry's New York Chocolate chunk shortage.

I sold a small, old chest freezer back in the spring right as the lockdown started. I was surprised at the interest it drew. I had a couple of "urban" ladies show up in a Mustang to pick it up. They were quite devastated to discover it wouldn't fit in the trunk, backseat, or front seat of the Mustang. Not trying to be mean, but the passenger lady barely fit in the Mustang.

Lol, I was just looking for a used chest freezer to set up a bait tank. None out there

Set it up on blocks with a center drain in it. Get a small air pump and use it to bring water to your fluidized bed sand filter. It will help oxygenate and move water at the same time.

I did order some beef and pork. It's pricey. I don't mind paying more for vacuumed sealed and delivery, but what I noticed it that some places where sold out for the year. I think it's a processing problem.

They were already booked up until next May...and that was before the extended dry spell started.

What did you end up doing? Nothing, yet. The heifer is still in the field. Although my Mom talked to the guy that owns a local place that typically only processes deer, and he said he might be able to slaughter a beef for us.

I’ve been told it has more to do with profit than anything so many people are buying hogs and beef the butcher makes more money buying cows hogs from farmers and then butchering and than reselling to people who don’t know farmers than he makes just butchering your cow I have no idea if that’s true but it sure makes sense
