Just heard on news that they cancelled all officers time off and told them to be ready for extended shifts. They boarded up the courthouse and several other buildings. IN National Guard is down by the river staying. They think the verdict is getting ready to come out on the Briana Taylor investigation. That place will become another Portland.

I don't think it will be as bad as Portland. Most kids are back in college and a lot of the bused paid violate protesters have been arrested in other cities that past couple weeks.

That settlement isn't going to appease the protesters. They want the officers fired and charged.

It tells you something about the "movement" that they are concerned with potential violence.
Protest is American as Apple pie, but when you start rioting to protest violence you've lost me!

I wonder how fast the riots would stop and turn into peaceful protests if the clock was turned back to 1970...........

It's almost insulting the way this is being presented to the public. State and local "leaders" claim that they have no information or indication of when an announcement will be made, but they declared a state of emergency, shut down streets, closed all downtown parking garages, encouraged retail business to close and offices to work remotely, etc. Just on a whim? What a joke!
I was with a full time guy from the National Guard base yesterday. He said they have been training for this specific situation and have equipment and supplies staged in undisclosed locations. He would have no reason to BS me.
My boss meet with a potential customer who is in law enforcement on this side of the river. He said that no lawlessness will be tolerated and criminals will be cuffed and stuffed. I don't know how credible he is.
I look for something to happen today.

That settlement isn't going to appease the protesters. They want the officers fired and charged. If you gave the protesters 12 million, I bet they would forget all about the officers. This is another topic, but I really am sick of the tax payer supporting the governments mistakes.v

Three counts of 1st degree wanton endangerment against Brett Hankison (who was fired by the chief earlier this year).
A warrant has been issued for the former officer's arrest.
