I’ve always wanted to kill one on my birthday, but not happening today. Between the rain and a little get together this evening today is out for me. Gonna give it a go tomorrow and Sunday though.

Glad to see a few of you guys are still sticking with it. Just got back from Florida yesterday so I’m spending the rest of the day getting unpacked and cleaned up. Decided I’ll give it a go tomorrow and Sunday. Haven’t gone into the woods in two weeks and leaving it alone until tomorrow.

Have fun welder. Been out since 6ish. Lots of rain so far and nothing else. Suppose to be in 60s down here today. Nothing here this morning. Same weather, got the rain that started at 7:30 am, the only difference is that the temp was 25°F, and it's climbed all the way up to 30°F now..... Basically slid down the metal ladder of the ladder stand when I got out of the tree.

As soon as the rain let up I drove down to hunt a spot that sets up well for an east wind. Set up by 315. Saw several deer in thicket around 5 but no clear shots. Although they were only 60 yards away there is just too much brush. They headed towards fields to the south. On the way out I was suprised to find the creek I had crossed just hours before had risen about a foot. Got a little wet but thats just the cost of doing buisness.

I wish I was getting out again, but it`s over for me, and I`m blessed to have taken the doe I was able to on the last afternoon of muzzleloader season. The rifles are all cleaned up and stowed back in the gun safe. I`ll finish putting all my gear away over the next few days and begin to think about turkey season.
Good luck to everyone getting out the next few days. Be safe out there.

Not today fellas. Planning on putting in a good effort tomorrow, I am not sitting in freezing rain bowhunting this time of year. Depending on the road conditions, I am hoping to make my first trip to Cabela's in Noblesville. I made it to Cabela's. I ended up getting 2 pairs of wool socks for around $12 each. Pretty decent place with plenty of everything.... except bargains! In my opinion, but then again my wife says she has to oil me every morning because I am so tight. Gonna try to get out tomorrow morning.

The weather will keep me out of the stand in the morning. We have the ice coating on everything, now its snowing like mad. Gonna be a real mess tomorrow. Hoping for afternoon hunts!

Never saw these deer at first but heard them running through all the sudden, looked up and it was a buck and doe. Thought they winded me until I saw them run by me and do a 180 and run by me again. I guess it was just the buck chasing the doe

Glad you're seeing something lots of squirrels chasing here. Woods are to quiet to put on a stalk. Zero wind movement here.

Rain stopped for now. Pretty nice out here without it pouring You sure spend a lot of time in the tree, hardly ever see where you post sighting results. On average what are you seeing for deer per day on all day sits, most productive hours? Are you just doe hunting now?

I’m going to head out for what will likely be my last hunt of the season in about an hour. One last doe tag to fill. Landowner saw 13 does in the cut corn field 2 nights ago. Hope they show up tonight!

I'm starting to think that deer are a lot like cattle if there is a front coming in they lay down a lot like the cows do in the field. I am heading out for what is most likely my last hunt. The nag's honey do this now list its starting to get long.
Why is it that women just do not understand that whenever we go hunting out in the woods it is a lot like therapy for us. I walk the fine straight narrow all year long and then when hunting season comes around there's always something that happens to come up.
Getting ready to burn up some bedding sites. Who knows I may get lucky.
