Leaves are falling like the rain that we are NOT getting here. EVERYTHING is stressed due to the lack of rain. We've only had 1/4" in the past 4 weeks.

I went back to hang my last stand this weekend (took it back a couple weeks ago but sweat through everything before I got done) but couldn't even stand to be there. Not hot, and not even the skeeters, it was the overwhelming smell of cattle urine. The tiny creek that runs from the cow pasture through the woods is so low it isn't flowing and it looks and smells like the only thing liquid in it is cow urine. I grew up on my grandparents cattle farm, this shouldn't be an issue. It is definitely an issue. We need rain, and when I say rain, I'M looking for a true 3 to 4 inch local downpour gully washer rain, because WOW.

If this chilly weather doesn't make you long for a deer stand I don't know what will

Saturday morning, there were sandhills heading south over my house. When they start moving, that's when I know my favorite time of year is near!!
