Indiana has for some time been a very pro-gun state. Under Governor Mitch Danials, we were rightly able to carry our self-defense handgun while hunting, etc. But recently, as we've seen a liberal, demon-crat mayor in Indianapolis, and a weak, wishy-washy governor, we've seen an erosion of gun rights with red-flag laws passed, and a refusal of the Indiana legislature to pass constitutional carry in the Hoosier state. We DEMAND constitutional carry and the removal of the state's unconstitutional red-flag law. NOW. gunowners.org/goa-celebrates-passage-of-anti-red-flag-law-in-oklahoma/

You do know that Mitch took office Jan 10, 2005 and signed the red flag statute into law, right?

You do know that Mitch took office Jan 10, 2005 and signed the red flag statute into law, right? I guess he didn't know that. Neither did I. I'm totally against any Red Flag Law as I think it's unconstitutional. The NRA should be suing the state of Indiana instead of buying LaPierre a new suit and paying for his family's summer vacations.

When's the last time anyone ever read a headline that said "Congress Folds Under GOA Pressure"?🙄

Red flag law is unconstitutional and needs to be removed. One bad strike for Indiana. It's weird, Ohio is worse, but no red flag law.

Indiana also has the castle doctrine. Trust me, red flag laws are a very touchy subject for law enforcement here and they take the decision to ask for it very seriously.

NRA can't sue to remove Red Flag Laws. A case has to make it through the courts. This would require someone affected by the laws to go to court over it. Then the NRA can step in. There may be other ways but I am not aware of them.

So not having any experience with RFLs or restraining orders how are they different? Both can be put in place without a crime being committed just the threat or possibility. Restraining orders are not being fought. Am I missing something?

Restraining orders are not being fought. Am I missing something? With restraining orders you loose your permit and guns if you don’t move them out of your possession... but you do get a day in court to be heard which 99% of time doesn’t go your way! Judge still will honor the order! Even a LEO will lose a right to carry on or off the job.

HeHe... I'm watching a nature show. I got the Kool-Aid in the refrigerator and will make some buttered pop corn later when it starts. One of Trump's guys is supporting Biden. Actually more than a few of Trump's X's are supporting Biden. I think our guns are safe even if Biden wins. There is no way I'll turn in my guns. I might watch CNN and or MSNBC and chomp on some of that buttered pop corn. The Democrats are stupid when they go anti gun.

Personally, I could care less about what anyone thinks about my constitutional rights when they are in a position to trample them, INCLUDING law enforcement. I do not concede my rights to anyone, ever.

Too many people are clueless as to the very real dangers that exist towards our beloved Second Amendment. Do you think for a nanosecond that beto O'rourke was kidding when he said, "he'll yes we're going to take your ar15"? Do you think giffords, or schumer, or pelosi, or any of the other crazy libs are kidding about intending to disarm you? That's just a convenient excuse to not be involved with NRA or GOA, when you say there's no threat to your right to keep and bear arms.

You might want to rethink that thought: From the Biden website about guns: joebiden.com/gunsafety/#The Supreme Court has a 5 to 4 GOP majority and they will protect our gun rights and 2nd amendment rights. If not then it was a waste of vote for Trump as he appointed members to the US Supreme court that are not doing their job for the 2nd amendment.
