I want to zero my squirrel gun with Federal Premium`s 40 grain Hunter Match ammo. Haven`t been able to find it anywhere. I tried calling bradis and Plainfield Shooting Supplies today to check, but they aren`t even answering the phones. Does anyone possibly know anyone locally who has this on the shelf?

Good luck, it's almost as tough finding ammo as it was after the Sandy Hook shooting. Very little .22, 9mm, .223 or 5.56. I stopped in BassPro yesterday and overheard one of the guys saying they sold 500 boxes of 9mm in 2 hours.
Crazy...

I was in Academy Thursday and the ammo shelves were pretty bare. Shot shells and centerfires was about all they had. No handgun ammo at all.

I LOVE that law-abiding American citizens are exercising their Second Amendment rights. I recon it`s incumbent upon us to be vigilant and make sure we do our due diligence in getting the ammunition we need, even if it`s suddenly become work.

I'm glad that I'm stocked up with ammo as I've not been shooting all that I had stocked up.
But, why the shortage of 9 mm ammo? Are they selling that much ammo or are they not able to manufacture enough now due to workers not being able to come to work? It could be a matter of both.
I remember a few years back when you could not find any 22 ammo. I ended up paying $70 for a brick of 22 LR ammo from a store in Chandler, IN. Right next to the Subway shop a guy opened up a little gun store. He didn't stay around very long.
I wish that it was 1960 again and I could shoot my 22LR and shotgun in the back yard and all the new neighbors were not there. The farmer that sold the lot that my parents bought back in the late 1950s also sold off the rest of his farmland behind my parents house. Now there are several homes with new families living in what use to be a corn/wheat field for years before. I hate developments. We have too many people.

Usually go thru 500 to 1k of 17hmr and 600 rounds of 22lr out shooting prarie dogs. Thats not counting the centerfire. So on the way home I will restock what we shot and get some extra.
