I swear the sun is hotter this year I’ve worked outside most of my life and I swear with the shut down of planes cars and the likes the sky is clear and the UV rays are coming down full force. I’ve asked some of the guys at work and they agreed that it at least fills hotter

I think it just got hot to fast this year. Usually there is a gradual warm up. This year has been cold then scorching!

This was taken next to my tool box at work this week. The sun comes thru the doors for a few hours in late afternoon. You would think I would be skinnier sweating so much in a sauna like that for several months. 🤣

I agree as well. I’m outside almost all day, everyday and I absolutely hate cold, wet weather. Throw in some wind and I’m going home. I always have the option of doing “office work” at home. With that being said, bring on the heat!
I’ve started paying more attention to how I dress in the heat just like when planning a hunt in the cold. I noticed that the Hispanics on my job sites wear long sleeve shirts and wide-brimmed hats or neck gaiters. I completely understood the head and neck protection, but was confused by the long sleeve shirts. I asked one of them and he looked at me like i had a horn growing out of my forehead. It’s simple, keep the sun off of as much skin as possible and try to keep your body temperature uniform. I now wear nothing but my Shelta hat and polyester & spandex long sleeve shirts when the sun is bearing down.

The only pants and shorts I wear are Duluth flex dry on the fly. Other than a pair of stuffy dress britches for a wedding or funeral, that's it. I wear pants or shorts depending upon the plans for the day.

The long cloths also helps hold the sweat so it cools you .

They were wool in the war of northern aggression. We were at Gettysburg in 2013 and it was HOT. Cool by evaporation they claim.
