The weather on this trip was perfect, the"POLECAT"was comfortable, and the fishing was as good or better than expected. On the first day,the first rod we set went off before we could set the second rod. We even had a triple and we never lost a one,we boxed 12 super nice fish with a couple 20 pound class Kings included.
The second day was a bit slower because the water cooled down about 4 degrees and sent the fish packing to parts unknown however we still caught 2 big Kings and 2 really nice Lakers.
I will tell you and Schall53 will verify the fact that these Kings will give the fight of your life, we both caught one that took us approx. 25 mins each to land.

You guys every try fishing for browns up there Down side they are up by the beach early and the waves can be rough lots of time February March and on top of it the weather sucks but if you hit it right you can limit out about as fast as you can pull them in

I will chime in here and say it was a fantastic trip. Those 20 pounders were by far my personal best freshwater fish!
There is never a dull moment fishing with featherduster, thanks for everything.

Love that part of Michigan. Old Hamlin for breakfast, House of Flavors for icecream. Big water and woods with small water to top it off. I miss going up there.
