I have two Tom's everyday in my front yard or neighbor across the street. Right now across the street. That's good to hear you saw some poults. So far only one hen has been wondering around the past two weeks. Hopefully, the other four hens are successful. One big benefit working from home I get to watch mother nature a lot more.

I saw a hen with a single poult crossing the road this evening. There may have been more in the weeds that crossed before I got there. Still good to see. The poult was about the size of a Pidgeon.

Out of the 5 hens I have not seen any poults, but I'm not working from home the past 3 weeks. Need to rid more coons this fall.

Around my area it is still a big 0. I got a feeling the number of turkeys around is under 5. Took just 6 years to go from 30 to 40 down to 5. I think I missed the reason. Not coons so much, but the yotes and bobcats.

I think its yotes by me that have knocked the turkey numbers down.

The other day I went out squirrel hunting and heard a familiar sound once I got to my spot. Coming from the neighbors property were 15 turks. They came thru the part of the pine woods i cut down. Looked like 13 poults. Now will just need to figure out how to keep the coming thru.

In the past week we’ve had some turkeys near the house. Counted as many as 9 at one time. Looked like 3 hens and 6 poults to me. Just hope they stick around and are able to survive. Went from a large flock of 28 here when we bought the land 4 years ago to much smaller now.

Their survival is dependent on thick cover, and the # of Bobcats, imo.

Yotes are the only thing ,besides coon, that will make turk numbers go down here. No bobs yet here.

The nine that have been hanging just up the road were all in the gravel area of our fire pit this morning. They were soaking wet from the grass and just trying to dry out.
