1st fawn born last night and or this morning. There was a doe yesterday that spent most of the day where I have fawns born every year. I could tell she was antsy. Something was bothering her. This morning there is a normal size bed and a small bed about 3 feet away in the tall grass. I hope to get a picture of the fawn today. Just to the left and up from the doe bed is a little bed.

Yesterday at the last few minutes of light the doe came out from the other patch of woods and walked over (90 yards) and called. I could just barely see the fawn when it stood up.. Weeds are thick. Not enough light for a picture. This routine happens every year. The fawn is in my backyard and the doe hangs out just across the road in the bigger woods. After a couple to few weeks they switch positions for some reason.

Do you think it is the same doe year after year or a different doe and if so how many years has she been doing this? Just curious. I would think it would be a different doe since she only has one fawn.

I had a doe do it for three years she’d have twins right behind my barn I’d see them eating and drinking out of the pond for three to four weeks and than be gone

When I built the wall 5 years ago it stopped for two years.

My hunting neighbor just sent me this. He stumbled across the little one while mushroom hunting about 30 minutes ago.

Lots of new fawns being spotted in Switzerland county this last week. Wet weather is most certainly going to delay hay harvest which is also good news for fawns.

My wife and I got home last night from visiting my mom around 9:15 pm with just a little light left. Three fawns standing on the private drive one house up. Didn't see the doe.

Had a momma and a very tiny fawn in the yard this morning. Looked like it couldn't have been more than a couple days old.

I saw my first fawn yesterday afternoon. It was in downtown Greendale, IN. The doe and fawn were going down the streets and through yards. It didn't look very old. It was kind of wobbly legged.

Started hay season 2020. As always i'm a nervous wreck looking out for fawns. Cut 20 acres and saw 5, 4 were able to move 1 unfortunately was so well hidden in some white clover that I did not see in time. Only 3rd one i've hit in 15 years of doing hay but I was pretty upset with myself for not seeing in time. Part of it but sucks at same time.
