We had 15 hogs delivered to my house today, from hoof to cooler in 3 1/2 hours. 6 people all novice but myself. I was cringing watching them guys skin. 15 more coming next Monday, Ill skin mine...LOL. .33lb delivered.

You got a good deal. Just bought one for .40/lb. couple weeks ago. Was able to find a place an hour away to process it for me. Must've just beat the rush. Is it similar to skinning a deer?

A friend of mine in Texas had 11 in the trap at one time a few weeks ago. His grandson and a few of his buddies were killin', cutting and wrapping almost all night long. He said they were covered in ticks too (the hogs).

Ticks are bad here already, just got done taking some beaver out for the county and Ive pulled 3 off me so far.

Well, after a very unsuccessful catfishing trip we came home and sliced, wrapped 42 pounds of home cured and smoked bacon. This should last a while.  |
