I'd be lying if I said I won't use it from time to time...if I know I'll be going distance after a bird I'm likely to carry it just because it's light and compact.

I just switched to a Remington 870 in a 20 ga, I've used 870's for ever I've always used a 12 ga. I dropped a longbeard dead in his tracks Tuesday morning, I have absolutely no regrets so far. I was using a Carlson choke tube and #7 tungsten shells from Federal. I'll stick with the 12 ga for deer and ducks but I'm looking forward to dove season this year with the new 20! Hopefully I can hit those little buggers, I do love turtle dove pepper poppers!

I rock the big ol Remington SP-10. I do have a slug barrel for it that I'm gonna try that Indian creek tube on and see if its just as good as the 30" field barrel. A shorter barrel would be ace in the blind set ups.

Doesn't hvae to be turkey loads, any load over the chrono will do.

Over the years, I've toyed with the thought of a new turkey gun. I'm always a sucker for something new, especially for deer. Something different with my turkey gun. This Mossberg 500A, approaching 20 yrs old, with its factory 670 XX turkey choke has been flawless for me, out to a maximum of 63 yards on this day almost 10 years ago. Like a faithful friend, I'm partial to her, even with the funky ole camo pattern:

I believe that is the exact same gun I use...I do plan on doing some changes to it before next year.
