I’ve got walleyes. Everyone here will eat the bluegills before the walleye. Do you just scale them lot guys I know will not eat them with the skin on

Grap a few tatters poke some holes in them and throw them in the smoker you won’t be disappointed add some butter sour cream with chives and some tomato slices with fresh ground pepper Have done them a few times, very good! Tonight, we will be doing corn on the grill. Got them soaking now. Corn ain’t all bad either 👍

Just caramelizing the sauce. Piece of filet mignon for mom, ribeye for me, burger for mother in law, lol. Junior wants ribs and left over polish sausage.

While at the camper this weekend we stopped in at Kroger in Bloomington. They had their ribs on sale for 1.99 a pound, so I bought 3 racks. Would’ve bought more but those little camper freezers aren’t very big and we had it full with food for the long weekend. Those will be going in the smoker sometime soon. Did make a good dinner on the griddle tonight though.

Got three racks of ribs in the smoker now. Should be ready about 6. Have some friends coming over for dinner and some euchre.

Greetings Tonight i had a jacket potato with sika venison casserole. It was lovely. Casserole was made by our lady ranger student. I have kept quiet about her the last two years while we have been training. More about her in the deer section shortly. Regards Billy

No picture, not needed. Here is something off the wall. Was in the garage sipping a few suds while starting a campfire after work. Thought, what the heck, try a Jacks pizza on the Masterbuilt! Only used minor smoke, and turned out pretty good. Like usual, wife thought too smokey. But really not bad!

paste image hostSmoking some eyes today They were soaked in brown sugar garlic salt pineapple juice onion salt ground black pepper than topped before I started smoking with a light brush of real maple syrup and fresh ground pepper again just a dusting at best

So what’s in the menu for the long weekend Got a pork butt out for tomorrow I’m going to smoke with corn on the cob and wild blueberry muffins Tonight it’s fish fry and onion rings boy do I need to go north down to two Bags of eyes and I’m out
