Went and looked over the hill this morning in the fields. There he was, all strutted out putting on a show. Got two pork butts on the smoker at 415am. Going to go catch some bluegills for dinner Tonight. Sitting in front porch Watching all the geese fly in for the day on the pond. Even have some mallards running around this year. May go look for some morels an antlers. Have a good day everyone.

Sounds great!
As nice as that sounds, I got rattled out of bed by thunderstorms earlier. A nice sound signaling warmer weather coming. Calling for severe storms later in the nw.

Going to go catch some bluegills for dinner Tonight. Sitting in front porch Watching all the geese fly in for the day on the pond. Even have some mallards running around this year. Good mess of 'gills and redears!! If you don't like algae in or on your pond, run those geese off. I did some research, and each goose poops enough fertilizer DAILY to grow approximately 115# of algae. That's that green hairlike snotty stuff that breaks free from the bottom and floats to the surface, creating floating mats.

I do try to enlist hunters in the early season and a migratory season to try to come out and shoot some of these geese. My brother-in-law at my house are in tight quarters. So trying to find hunters who wont pull the trigger while in line with houses is hard to do. And once they are shot at they Won’t return for a while.

If you can run them off now, that will help. The days add up every day they are on the pond.
