Just in case anybody is thinking about stopping by Bob’s to buy a gun, hold off for now . I just stopped by and chatted with Bob. They’ve got to regroup and re-organize and he will open back up on April 1st!

Probably out of guns and ammunition!
Sure some may think that business is also non-essential!

Is this a good shop? There are two types of gun shops around me, the ones with good service and poor inventory, and one with a great inventory and terrible service.
I order in a lot of the stuff I buy and transfer it at one of the small shops with good service, but every now and then I just like to go browse gun racks, especially the used inventory.

I stopped by bradis guns yesterday and they are also closed. Sign on the door said they will remain closed until April 7th. I'm assuming they are also trying to regroup but the april 7th date made me wonder about the non essential business closure as well.

I read that a Sheriff in California ordered the closing of all gun stores in his county as he seems them non-essential. Not sure how that works.

Great shop IMO! It's not a place to browse and handle the guns as they're behind the counter. Probably not the place to go for an FFL, firearms transfer! All else, Bob's got a great shop. In the decades I've gone there, he has never done me wrong. He's not the most charismatic guy. Initially, he comes off a little gruff to some. But, his word is gold! I like that plus the fact, you always get the same ole Bob when you walk through the door!

Bob is/was a HUGE #3 Dale Sr. Fan also.... he told me he probably has the largest collection on Dale’s stuff in the area! As stated Top notch place with a ton of knowledge and resources.

Plainfield Shooting Supplies is a very good shop. Bob can be kinda ornery, and honestly, he can be a little difficult at times. One day you walk in and you`re his best buddy in the world, another day you walk in and he may growl at you and you feel like he`d just as soon you weren`t there. But all in all, it`s a great shop and Bob is good people.

The wheels are spinning.
