Serious stuff here y’all! Scammers are on the rise at a feverish pitch! I am in the middle of a possible retribution involving my parents and things have gotten ugly! This stuff is no joke! The hottest scam going is a phone call saying that you’re Water, electric, or other utilities will be shut off immediately if you don’t respond immediately. That is absolutely against the law and there are codes that will enforce it. I have another friend in his 80s who is deep money into a scam! My number one rule to especially the elderly, do not answer that anonymous or unidentifiable number! Let it go to voicemail! Don’t answer the freaking phone! And for sure, definitely do not give out your personal information, especially Social Security number and bank information.

I love caller ID!
I never answer the phone if i dont recognize the name or number. My answering machine picks up and those numbers very seldom leave a message .
I’ve heard that one of the scams is saying they are from the irs and need your bank account number to deposit your relief check.
The irs already had my bank account number from EFile.
Scum of the Earth..

I watched my grandparents fall into scams. I think my uncle said my grandfather had 14 or 15 life insurance policies open when they had to go to the nursing home. What a sad day when elderly get taken like that.

I got one today saying that my land line phone bill (Centurylink) was past due and to click on the link to pay the bill.
Ahhh, no it isn't. I paid it last week, and went to their website to check using google to find the site. My balance is $0.
I get stuff like that a few times a month for various utilities or my internet service. All scammers. I had one that was a persistent cuss, calling all the time. Finally got them to stop by answering and saying the only way that I give out that information is a face to face meeting. what address do I come to so we can meet? They never called back.
