Is your supermarket still selling everything that they did before this pandemic or are their items that are out of stock? Are they able to restock their stores with meat and toilet paper and other paper products like Paper towels?

Havent been in a week now, no idea how the outside world is fairing. The people at lowes are doing well, except the plumbing department. Cant find a single quarter turn compression valve.

We went to Kroger today. No paper products of any kind. The only burger they had was in the tubes and there was a limit of 2. Most of the can goods were empty except for the gross stuff. Ramen noodles were gone. About 1/3 of the frozen foods were gone. The cheese section was decently stocked. The last time I was there it was empty. No potatoes left. We got some items to last us a little while. They had a kid disinfecting the shopping cart handles before you could take one. My wife saw a report on krogers installing plexiglass shields between the customer and the cashiers to keep them from being sneezed and coughed on.

My Kroger looks like the shots of Russian grocery stores from the 1980's. The cold cut meat cooler had 1 package in the entire case, and it was souse (head-cheese) and that stuff looks NASTY!
I wouldn't feed that crap to my dogs. Paper goods are all but invisible. A few packages of paper towels, but toilet paper has been unicorn tears for two weeks now.
No bread, virtually no cheese, frozen food cases are about half full. Milk has been hit-or-miss.

Has anyone been to a Walmart grocery store in the last few days? I wonder if the companies that make Toilet Paper have shut down or something. I mean before all this there was toilet paper on the fully stocked shelves. We only have to shelter in place for two weeks. I mean how much TP does one need for two weeks. And everyone keeps TP stocked to some degree in their homes. So why the shortage. I sure misjudged people.

No, and about the same as always. About 1 to 2 weeks worth typically. We only bought 1 extra for us now working from home usage. Stores in my area like Walgreen's and Staples still had some TP, but limited two 2 packages of 6 rolls. Big box stores didn't have any.

LOTS of bare shelves.. We went to Walmart and Schnuks yesterday. We got what we needed, except for Folgers HalfCaff. They were out of that. I walked past the TP aisle and there was about 6 or 7 people just standing there. I got the cat food I was after and when I walked back past the TP aisle the stock boy had rolled out a pallet of TP. It looked like a Rugby scrimmage starting. Since we are plush with TP (we bought bulk aka 40 rolls at Sams right before this all started) I declined to jump in the fray.. Social distancing is all but forgotten when there is TP to be had.
I think we are good for a month now...

I use to shop there but now I shop at the one on the west side. I had to move across town to take care of my 94 years old mother. I miss Newburgh, Chandler, and Boonville. Yea you were smart to stock up before this happened. I can just see those people fighting over the TP. All they needed was for one person to have the virus and then they would all probably get it too. I just went to the Schnucks web site. They are finally limiting how much TP you can buy at one time. And it said that they are putting temporary plexiglass on the checkout lanes to protect the check out workers. They are also hiring. So if anyone is out of work and needs a temp job that might help fill in things until this is over. I wonder how much they pay the stockboys.

It was in Newburgh..
Before that I was at the Walmart in Boonville to pick up some medicine for a cancer survivor friend that now has pneumonia again. She was tested for the virus but no results back yet. I left the medicine on her doorstep. No face to face.
I had to pick up some medicine for momma today and was able to get the HalfCaf too.
We dumb lucked in the TP. It just happened at the time we normally make our runs to Sam's.

The day after the "notice" to not use ibuprofen because it reacts with the mystery murder bug all the acetaminophen shelves were bare. Come on people, us heart patients can't use ibuprofen at all, save some for others.

Hit the Bedfotd Walmart after work today. The place was very well stocked. Granted, there were limited supplies of a few things, but the majority of things looked close to normal. The bread aisle was fully stocked, and there was plenty of bottled water. About the only thing lacking was paper goods, but even yet, there was some toilet paper, paper towels, and paper plates. Laundry detergent seemed pretty short in supply though.

My wife went to Meijer and most of it was stocked. Getting stuff for her parents and a little for us.

LaPorte Walmart was still completely out of paper products, fresh chicken, and eggs.
So we topped off the rest of our list from Krogers. Fully stocked, nice people, no chaos. Love it.

We use the Kroger online order and pickup. Even before this mess. The only difference now is pickup is 2 days out, not same day. I use it because it is hard for my wife to walk much.
I really like it. I put in order Friday morning, pick up tomorrow.

I picked up a few essentials for the kids today, bread, milk, and applesauce. I was able to get eggs as well. Everything I went out for I found except for yeast. We didnt really need yeast, wife wanted to try her hand at making bread after the shortage.
Even found tylenol. No TP but we didnt need any, with the exception of that aisle, you wouldnt know anything is going on.
