Okay, pardon my lack of enthusiasm for searching all of the old posts and discussions but can anyone tell me if they’ve had a hearing or ruling for renewing the HPR rules?
I may need to go shopping once this COVID-19 craziness passes...who am I kidding I still want to buy a .350 legend!!!!

What we have used the last 4 seasons is now permanent.

Thanks Woody...not gonna lie I’m a little depressed now that I don’t have a good excuse to buy a new rifle! The world is crazy and proportionally very few have a 350 legend. You need one to reduce ammunition competition

I bought a .350 legend not long ago. Join the club, no good reason needed. It can be used on public ground too, if you hunt any.

EDIT: I considered the public land opportunity as well. I've never had the need to hunt public ground, but knowing I have the option would be nice too. I was looking at the Winchester XPR w/Vortex scope...there's a $50 manufacturer rebate right now! It's in my budsguns cart right now, I just can't get myself to pull the trigger.

Many years ago I met up with friends prior to a deer hunt. One guy had a new gun. I asked him why he bought it and he said, "Didn't have one".

Want therefore "need" I have a perfectly good Marlin 94 in 44Mag. I do not need a 35Rem to hunt deer here in Indiana. BUT I have wanted a 35Rem for a long time thus creating the "NEED". Along comes a Marlin 336 in 35Rem plus my birth year dom so that is what I have.

I'm thinking about deer gun options for my girls. The .350 legend in a 180 grain load generates approximately 1762 ft lbs of energy @ the muzzle. A .243 firing a 100 grain load generates approximately 1945 ft lbs of energy @ the muzzle. I've shot both and the .350 legend might be a bit easier on the shoulder. The gun I'm shooting now is a CVA scout v2 with a Nikon Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 scope in warne rings. It weighs just under 8 lbs and is a very easy gun to shoot as far as recoil goes. Having said that, Hornady offers a 87 grain .243 load that generates approximately 1500 ft lbs @ the muzzle. Depending upon the weight of the gun, that should be easy on the shoulder as well. Hope this helps.

I got a Rugar American Predator model with the 22" barrel. Unfortunately I haven't shot mine either. The exact model I wanted went out of stock through 2 different dealers and it didn't arrive until Thanksgiving weekend.
