I had this guy behind the house this afternoon. He would gobble, strut then walk a few paces. Gobble, strut then walk a few paces. He did this for about 300 yards or so.

Greetings What you need genesis is a pet one, give him a good hose down last thing at night then see if he gobbles in the morning. Let us all know the results. Must admit if i have a shower last thing at night i do sleep like a baby and usually sleep in, but that is me. lol

There was one gobbling right near the property line this evening. At least I know there is one around! Really looking forward to next Wednesday.

The boy and I was out doing something a few days ago and we saw a big tom strutting at the edge of the field. There was nearly a dozen birds out in the field. A group of hens and a group of jakes. The dog barked at the tom and the tom shock gobbled back! That tom wasn't going any where until the other birds started to bugger off. My boy has been after this tom for a coupe of years now. We don't have a lot of birds in my area, but i get them on cam and see them from time to time. My boy wants this bird something bad. I'm not a turkey hunter....I told my boy I was going to post a few pics on FB and see if I could sell a spring lease on our place this year.....I thought it was funny. He didn't see the humor in it.....

Got up early and got to my spot. Did not hear a single gobble. Kinda disappointed. Last couple times I've heard several birds. Maybe its the weather. Hope to have some on my cam when I check it later.

A quiet bird is a sneaky bird! It doesn't mean they aren't there. Been busted countless times thinking the hunt was over, only to have one take off out of nowhere.

I am not seeing the birds here like I used to. Not even seeing them in the numbers when I am out driving around. Could be a bad season here.

Went to the church again this morning and saw 5 birds come over the hill. Drove around to the farm and had four long beards and a jake in the feed lot that I sit next to. Hopefully they repeat this behavior on Wednesday.

I have been watching out back every day for the last seven weeks and haven't seen a bird. Then last night they showed up, 6 hens and a nice tom. Saw them again this morning. YES!!

Heard a really good interview Saturday morning driving to pulls cards, with Steve Backs. Talked about how numbers are down according to studies they have done. Thought harvest would be around 11,000 I think he said give or take 1000. Talked a little about other states and the studies they are doing to figure out what is going on. South Carolina and Georgia. I know on my drives back home I have seen a lot less birds out in fields this year.

Heard just one gobble thus morning. He sounded off twice on the limb and then jumped down with his ladies. He gobbled once on the ground and that was it.

Saw three toms down in my hot corner yesterday when I went to check a card. Card in the back had one pic of a tom from mid March. Guess will be hunting the corner.

Silence this morning. So much so a pair of beaver were swimming past me at about 8 feet.
Checked a second spot along the road. Seems those birds have been harrassed a bit. Slow rolled the truck around the corner and once they saw the truck on a blacktop county road they booked it. Saw 5 Tom's and 2 hens, but didn't get a good look at everything running. Checked out another spot and actually heard a bird, or a woodpecker. Hard to tell. Herad it again, but pretty sure it was bird. Made a few sharp puts and a couple yelps and YES that is a turkey. Apparently his girlfriend wasn't happy about the competition because she went nuts and he kept yelling at her. I just sat quietly and listened to the show. Gobbling was around 11. After 5 hours and about 6 miles I was quite happy for the music.

Had one gobbling like crazy this morning behind the house. I thought I was hearing things at first, but he gobbled probably 20 times.
