What the hell is a "bioethicist"? That, and I don't think Biden knows the meaning of the term "ethics".

bioethics[ bahy-oh-eth-iks ] noun (used with a singular verb) a field of study concerned with the ethics and philosophical implications of certain biological and medical procedures, technologies, and treatments, as organ transplants, genetic engineering, and care of the terminally ill.

Most hospitals have an ethics board that makes decisions when a question is raised. They consider ethical and legal inplications as well as what is best for the patient. I dont know that they employ a bioethicist, but that would be a good use for one.
Ex: my partner at work used to be an ICU nurse at a large level one hospital in Virginia. They had a guy that was getting shocked ~100 times a day by his internal defibrillator. After a couple days they had not found the underlying cause after all efforts, the patient asked for the defib to be turned off. He asked this knowing he would die, but he didnt want to be shocked anymore. A situation as this has to go before the ethics board as it is essentially assisted suicide.
For those curious the ethics board allowed the Physician to trun off the defib and the patient passed.

They guy you are talking about said that about himself not others. Emanuael said that he didn't want to live past 75. He didn't say that others should think the same way. And BTW. That video you are talking about Trump claiming that the virus is a hoax was taken from the rally that Trump did on Feb 28th 2020 in Charleston, South Carolina. I've seen it several times and it's not edited at all. Trump was downplaying the virus situation up until the last two few days. I think he turned the corner and reversed course 180 deg on Monday this week. Before that he downplayed the virus disease. Now for some reason he is at war with this virus. That is what he should have been doing before. He should never have fired the NSC people that were there to deal with pandemics. You can argue all you want but I've seen the video of Trump calling the virus a hoax.
