Yes. Another thing to think about is how your length of pull and your eye relief changes when going from summer clothes to heavy winter clothes. Also, if the gun does not have a parallel comb, then if you don't scoot your face around on the stock to compensate for thicker/thinner clothes, your eye will not be in the center of the scope.
