Watching the State of the Union, and even as the GOP takes to their feet, cheering and applauding the achievements of this administration and betterment of America, the scowls and glares of the dems speak volumes and show exactly what, and who, is wrong with America. When these people show their disgust with all the positives this President has brought, simply because their political agenda isn't advancing, it ought to show everyone who are the allies, and who are the enemies of this Republic. I for one am fed up with those who attack constitutional rights, try to foist socialism upon us, and the anti-Semitic who have invested our Congress.
God bless President Trump, and God bless America.

Watching Gretchen Whitmer (D) Michigan Governor deliver the Democratic party rebuttal. Unbelievable.

Nancy Pelosi's response reveals her frustration. I posted on another forum when she announced the impeachment that my opinion was that she had just "stuck a fork" in her career.
I stand by my prediction. I think she'll lose her speakership come November. It would be nice if she lost her congressional seat, but I'll settle for the speakership.

The "Great Divide" continues to get wider and deeper. Sure would be nice to see a little bit of composure and poise when congress gets together.

Isn’t Social Security and Medicare a form of socialism? No? Military? Public Road maintenance? 🤔

Isn’t Social Security and Medicare a form of socialism? No? Military? Public Road maintenance? 🤔 I`m no fan of social Security/Medicare, but, no, it is not socialism. What it is, is a government run, government mandated retirement account. Both I and my employer have paid into those all my working life. I`d be more than glad to get out of both, so long as I get all the monies I and my employer were compelled to put in, plus interest. As for the military and infrastructure, those things are the very limited things the federal government are supposed to be taking care of. Everything else then is supposed to taken care of by the states. We`ve long ago lost sight of what the proper role of government is. Government is not supposed to be our provider, or, our dictator. We are supposed to be free men, sinking as low, or soaring as high as our work, motivation, and best efforts take each of us. As for being free, our Constitution is designed to protect our freedoms and individual liberties from both a mob majority, as well as government. Period. Since the Constitution is the Law of the Land, the wishes of a majority may not supercede the rights enumerated within it, your rights are intact, exactly as stated. And never forget that the Constitution was formed to restrain government, not We the People. The Founders stated that our rights are unalienable, that is, granted by God. Government did not bestow these rights upon us, and therefore, government may not take these rights away, or, limit them.

While I often don't agree with Trump's way of saying things and social media habits, I find what Pelosi did to be blatant disrespect for the office and the country. Can anyone in their right mind imagine the reaction if a Republican would have acted like that towards Obama? Racism!
As for Whitmer, just how are Republicans trying to "take away" health care? Maybe they are and I don't know it. So, someone please educate me. I'm always looking to learn. "American workers are hurting" Where? Here in the Louisville area EVERY employer that I deal with is begging for help. It's not because of pay, but rather because of the labor pool and, probably more importantly, work ethic.

The nail to the end of the Democratic party was at the end when Nancy ripped up the speech. It will go down as the "Death R.I.P."

I'd love to see her lose the next election, but considered who the people are in her district that she represents, I doubt it.

By tearing up (“mutilating”) the House copy of the President’s SOTU address, Pelosi, as custodian of the record, has violated the U.S. Code, below. She has forfeited her office, should be fined, AND imprisoned.
18 U.S. Code § 2071:
(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.

Her being criminally charged rests on the fact that document were filed and not merely a copy of a copy of a copy. Pretty big stretch.

Her being criminally charged rests on the fact that document were filed and not merely a copy of a copy of a copy. Pretty big stretch. I could be wrong but it was my understanding that this was not a "souvenir" (like her pens) copy for her, but a document that was supposed to be filed in the House files as part of the record. It doesn't matter what it is as se wont be charged. Some people "are above the law". She said it was spontaneous, but a video clip showed her making small starting tears under the table before he was finished speaking. She was caught. Sure it was preplanned. Did you notice that she held the papers up, looked to her right to make eye contact with someone and then proceeded to tear the GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT up? Poor lady needs help. So why did she do this? IMO - She didn't want people talking about the speech so she did a little tear the speech up diversion that would have people talking about that instead of the speech.. Looks like it worked, eh? On a side note Millard Romney is voting to convict. Surprised? Nooooo. .

I only wish that everyone would get more educated as to how our government is supposed to work, and then be a lot more involved in our government in general. We`ve all, me included, become too apathetic, too far removed from our government and our elected employees, and we just don`t hold them accountable. They are duty bound to keep the oath they swear to uphold and defend the Constitution, but we don`t understand the Constitution and the proper role of government well enough, so we let them steamroll right over us and do whatever they please. The Constitution is the Law of the Land, and our rights are not suggestions, they are the law. We have the right and the duty to demand that the Constitution is honored and upheld.

And every time you take out your retirement money you will be taxed on it as income thanks to the GOP. Yes, they voted to tax social security payments in your old age.
