Furthest thing from Spring here just north of Jeff City Missouri!! Snow and sleet on top of ice nightmare! Apparently serious multi trucks and vehicles accidents and slide offs have me sitting and idling for over an hour now! Safe travels coming home !

This is still Indiana, last week of February, first week of March, then we'll be half way safe from the white stuff. Anyone remember the date March 12th? I do. We got almost 1" of ICE that day. It brought down power limes and tree limbs. Caused traffic accidents by the hundreds and caused people to miss a bit of work.

This thread are signs of spring not winter! Haha We are on the back end and looking ahead. One of my beekeeper friends bees down in KY are bringing in pollen. That means there are flowers blooming in her area. I'm sure there are a few down in the southwest tip in Woody's area.
If you remember NASCAR Daytona is my #1 sign to spring.

Keep in mind I am only an hour north of the Ohio River, but we had a volunteer flower BLOOMING first week of January. Looked at it yesterday and it now has two blooms!

Still 3 ft of snow in the woods here...LOL. I'm feeling blessed with how mother nature has treated us here this winter. Sure we had a few -20 -30 nights but overall it has been a very mild winter temps wise. First winter in the 20 years I have been up here that we have not had 2+ weeks of consistent below zero temps for daytime highs.

I live in Spencer County and we just got a dusting of snow last night. My memory might be wrong but I do believe it's a First for us. Just last Friday-Sunday it felt like we had 3 Seasons at once. The highs were in the Mid 60's and Low 70's and we had mosquitoes and honey bees out, now we're back in the freezer. I'm ready for tank tops, flip flops, and Corona weather, but I can't afford to head South so I'll just have to wait.

I wish it would warm up. I'm tired of freezing my tail off outside trying to pour and finish concrete. This fat man can only move so much with multiple layers of clothes on, not to mention insulated bibs and coat.

Not for us on the Indiana/Kentucky border. We've still got some cold weather making its way to us towards the end of this week. I wish it would stay between the mid 60's to upper 70's year around except for September-January.

I have seen robins all winter this year as well. Just hasn’t frozen enough. Saw cranes flying north last week. Have had dandelions blooming off and on since Christmas. Noticed the wild onion shoots getting taller. Haven’t seen any bees yet, but did last year about this time I remember. Winter certainly isn’t over, but definitely signs!

Ohio river is scheduled for minor flooding(53-54 ft) and forecast for a lot of rain. Will February showers bring March flowers? I think we are already close to 6" over average for rain. Doesn't look good for the Ohio river when the snow melts in the upper mid west in the next couple weeks. Where will the water go? I've heard the great lakes are at record high levels.
