Who all is hunting going out for a last chance harvest? I’d love to have the live thread buzzing for my last sit!
Good luck to those getting out!
Tomorrow is a bittersweet day.

I can hunt my 1/4 acre back yard as I’m in the Warrick Deer Reduction Zone but I’d have to answer to momma for killing one of her “pets”. Not worth her rath .. 😉 I think I can speak for everyone on here - Good luck to you.!!

Hanging in until the bitter end. Good luck man!
I plan to do some scouting of a couple areas in the reduction zone this winter/spring and will be ready to go in September.

I work with a guy that lives in a wooded section of northwest Marion county. He told me he saw a large buck move through his property, and it had too many points to count. I offered my services to get him a closer look at the rack to count them, but declined my offer. Again, Momma would be perturbed.

Was wondering when they update the reduction zones for this year anyone know? Normally the books are out by July first, but with the circus that has been 2020 there is no telling.

I do know in speaking with Joe in the past, he prefers reduction zones stay in place for a while to allow numbers to illustrate whether or not they are achieving the desired impact. I'd bet any that is 4 years or newer in existence won't be changing, let me stress that is my guess, not a quote from him or anyone else.

Yep... I still live in a “deer reduction zone” (Warrick County) but other than my backyard I don’t have a place to hunt it. 😩

Its 65 yards to the rear property line from my back yard (its 90 to the back of the property I leased out), but my back yard deer dont come through with any regularity till late October. ETA, I was given permission to hunt some property 4 houses down, I just dont for whatever reason. Ive also considered speaking with the neighbors about hunting access in place of cash for the property they lease from me. I get the feeling they would say no, shes an animal lover.

So there is some public ground in Brown County that is part of the reduction zone?

So there is some public ground in Brown County that is part of the reduction zone? Yes, I know of a guy who shot a dandy buck off one of those spots last year.

Don’t let everyone know that. I plan to check it out this year. Put up no Hunting and no parking signs that should deter them 😊
