Thanks for the post, Woody.
I would say this is the start of Walmart dumping all their hunting stuff over the next couple of weeks. If anyone is interested in a muzzleloader, start checking the stores near you to see what they have and what the price is. They'll end up @ 1/2 price (if the past is any indicator).
I don't need anything, but if I see something on sale locally, I'll pass it on to those who may be interested.
You might check your local Meijer stores too. I picked up a pair of Bogg boots that were selling for $99 before the clearance sale for $24.50. I don't need them for hunting, but they'll make good scouting and yard boots.

Rural King stores have had a lot of their stuff on sale already as well...it's pretty slim pickings now, but it's worth a look if your in the neighborhood. I still have 3 ladder stands I bought last year on sale....still in the boxes! I was not as prepared as I should have been this past season! End of season sales are a great time for buying things on the cheap for the younger generation that grows so dang fast....

I miss the days that rural king had so much stuff you could still buy it discounted in march.

I got some camo muck style boots there a couple weeks ago for $22! They’re not nearly as stout or of the same quality, but they’re better than my rain boots I wear when it’s super muddy or I wade creeks!

I bought some $5 pants. Was tempted by muzzleloaders, but don't need one.

The Scentlok doesn’t have any Predator like they did last time.😩
I bought a set last time and really like the quality. Not a believer in the “scent” part, but like the stuff itself.

These "sales" makes you wonder just how much margin are in some of these products....as I am sure they are not giving this stuff away even at grossly reduced prices.

I have thought the same thing for years! With the big box stores, the margin isn't product specific. They do have a mark up, right now that mark up isn't important because the profit is being made elsewhere in the store. That is why the small local shops don't/can't have as good of sale prices. Think about it, wasn't it published not all that long ago that Walmart makes multi millions in profit every day?

I did pick up a Rhino blind for $45. Last one they had. That's more than half price. I paid a little over $100 for mine before season. I might have to make a trip to Newburgh to see if they still have those stands.

The Wal-Mart in Booneville had a Scent-Loc duffle bag for $109 just 2 days ago.
