I have done put and take pheasant hunting there for a long time. I cannot recall the last time we kicked up a rabbit. We also are not looking for them so doesnt mean they are not there. Cannot say I have ever paid attention to the squirrels.
Waterfowl, I think we have had our best success for geese. The areas we hunt at least are generally going to get passing shots at geese. Have missed a few ducks but those shots seem to be rare. We also tend to go elsewhere if we want to target ducks, so most trips to PR are targeting geese. I am sure you can put in time and find some decent duck holes, we just havent put in that time

If I were to write a book about turkey hunting there it would be "THE GOBBLER IS ALWAYS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SWAMP" Plenty of OK spots for rabbits. They seem to vary from year to year. We hunted with dogs. Two or 3 guys should be able to push some to each other. You can combine Pheasant and rabbits too. There are usually leftover birds when pay hunts are over.
Squirrels are good too. With the Emerald ash borer killing all the ash it has opened up a lot of good woods to sunlight on the ground. What was once fairly open woods are now choked with new growth trees and brush. Makes for a tough early hunt but once the leaves are down it won't be too bad. Like most state areas there seem to be some slob hunters. Guys that shoot into nests and blast away at whatever comes out. Thermo-Cell is required for early hunts. If it has been wet may want rubber boots in some areas.
Waterfowl You will need a boat for most hunts. A canoe or Jon boat are fine. I think you might be limited to electric motors. They used to draw for blinds after a certain time. There are stake hunts over by the refuge for geese. These are dry land.
