I have what I need, but I still fall for the "oh that might be a game changer" in comfort, or the chase etc. when I walk into the stores. I am still on that young dumb spending spree. I do get to use the excuse of building credit so I can buy a house instead of renting... Needless to say, I seen a ATA post last night about spypoint making a cell transmitter that can turn any camera you have into a cell camera via the SD card slot. check it out before you go out and spend that money. MSRP was stated around $70. Here's a link to that Spypoint cell transmitter... www.spypoint.com/en/products/cell-link

Lately my passion has turned to finding and restoring (if needed) old .22 rifles! But, I keep fueling this beast. Always looking. Always reading and researching the next purchase. Why!?!? Because it fuels my kids and grandkids!!!! Maybe I don’t need anything else...but I’m sure they do!!! 4 words for your next purchase: Anschutz Model 54 Match Rifle Peep sight front and rear, rear butt hook, sling and palm rest for 3 position shooting. It's what I used in College. Using Wildcat T22 ammo, using NRA USAS-50 targets where the center dot had to be cut for it to score a 10, the best I did in practice was 297. Did the same score in a match with Eley Tenex ammo so that tells me the things can shoot. 10 shots prone, 10 shots kneeling, 10 shots standing. No optic sights allowed, only peep front/rear. 10 minutes to shoot 10 shots prone (including any sighters), 5 min to change equipment to kneeling, 15 min to shoot 10 shots, 5 min to change equipment, 15 minutes to shoot 10 shots standing. I know little to nothing about the Anschutz rifles. After a quick search, it seems like these guns command some serious coin! Like, I’d have to trade some German steel for some German steel! In other words, sell one of my vintage BMW motorcycles to fund an Anschutz match rifle. Seriously, what is the going price on such a rifle?

Seriously, what is the going price on such a rifle? Like anything else, whatever the buyer is willing to pay! LOL Looking at past on-line sales, asking price and actual selling price are two completely different things. All the actual "sold" items I saw were between $800 and $1,000.

It is satisfying to get to this point in life. Some get there earlier and some later and some not at all. Don't think one is better than the other but, for me, and it sounds like you all, do find it more peaceful.
Despite threads on other sites that say X brand crossbows suck, the one that I have has been a good companion for the last 4 years and has hit its mark all those years.
I also love traditional archery and have collected some beauties over the years. Most hang on the wall season after season. I don't use them but I won't sell them. They are enjoyable art to me. I also won't add to them.

If you go online and check reviews there is alot of bad reviews.

I'm at age 45 and I've been there for several years. I'm a bit of a minimalist anyhow so I've never really been one that needs all the new gadgets and such. I did break down and buy an HPR a few years back when they were legalized but I believe that is the last hunting purchase of any kind that I have made other than ammo. When I started deer hunting back in the early 90's it was a cheap, fun way to put meat in the freezer. I still try to keep it as cheap and fun as possible. I have a buddy that buys new hunting clothes every 2-3 years. I still wear the same hunting clothes I wore 20 years ago and I don't expect to upgrade anytime soon. Keeping it simple is what I recommend.

I emailed the company and they gave me a way to upgrade the software. It still took crappy pictures. Then I tried to contact them numerous times and not so much of an acknowledgement email. I then turned it on one day and it just would go black and not work at all. I threw it in the trash along with a few curse words. Spypoint will never get a penny of my money. Customer service is ridiculous.

I have to buy new clothes they keep shrinking on me every year
For the most part I only buy what needs replaced or a comfort items I’m 58 soon to be 59 and find them a want and need.
I still buy guns now and than but that’s more of want they all end up in the gun safe not really a hunting gun in this case most of them never come out of the safe
I still buy some fishing stuff now and than but I’d say less tha 150 a year
When I started I did buy anything and everything that I could afford that I thought gave me the edge
