So are you setting hives on different farms a local guy will set hives and share honey with you. Maybe you’re not that far along yet I know he sets them up at some orchards and the likes but I believe they pay him for it Yes, it costs to hire beekeeper to bring in. Now just a couple or few maybe not, but a trailer full of hives yes. Good money. Ship 1st to Florida then to California and get your hives back by June. Good money shipping hives.

My friend keeps 30 hives at the giving fields and does it for free. Giving fields donate the food to food banks.

Waynes.... Where do you order your labels from ? Did you design your own or have something to choose from ?

Nice looking labels If you start selling this on a regular basis do you have to deal with the board of health man can they be a pain in the butt.
They gave me a ton of grief more than once on kitchens and hoods ducts in kitchens. I know it’s food safety but it seems like a lot of overkill

Just has to say honey and have net weight. Must be equal or more of the label. No other regulations.

Got some good news. My new friend beekeeper that I met last year are teaming up. I'm going to build up to 30 hives and Paul at 80 hives next year. Paul has been my mentor when needed. We are combining our honey together to sell. We have 3 farmers that sell around the Cincinnati area which includes Indiana and Kentucky. Two farmers are set up and working on a third. All located around the Ohio and Indiana border. Anywhere from 30 to 50 gallons a month to sell to the 3 family farmers. This might turn into a small business. One farmer is already selling 20 gallons a month from Paul. They said they could sell 30 gallons a month. Going to be a fun 2021.

I have some nice capped beeswax and some old comb bees wax. Not enough yet to sell. Yes next year. Going to make blocks and candles. I like to eat it with the honey.

Hey, hang on to some of that. Nothing can grow in that high concentration of sugar, so makes good ointment. Will come in handy when all hell breaks lose.
