checked gas block screw it's already super tight. About an hour worth of wait time on the phone. That's what they suggested to check into. Think I will go a fourth round and try again If they suggested to check the gas block, it's because they suspect short stroking. But, it's not necessarily the gas block screw(s) being loose, but rather the block being misaligned. There is a hole in the gas block that aligns with the gas port in the barrel, and if the block is canted, it can partially block the gas port and reduce the gas needed to cycle the action. If the bolt locks back everytime on an empty mag, then it is not short stroking. That said, it still doesn't explain all the jams being on only one side.

I still have not been able to take the time to shoot again. Can't stand living in town... I will look into the alignment before I do another range test. I finally got the forearm off of course tank here gave the barrel a little bit of character. (Me). Scratch.

Still awaiting Ruger customer service... Hopefully get an RMA number I will send to them to fix. The gas block is like a clamp on style only way to get it off is to remove a set screw and the flash hider. Still not sure if it is that, ejector issue or feed ramp issue.
Im done with Ruger AR platforms. A couple years after cooling down I may consider letting my son's or grandsons ever buying Ruger at this point. I've found others online after digging that had the problem also. Ruger received and repaired theirs. Replacing the gas block and ejector.

A friend has a number of AR's. A number of different brands and for build quality I'm pretty impressed with the S&W M&P that he has. IIRC IS one of their competition models, not the bottom of the line. Much tighter than the Colt that he has and it shoots really well with a red dot on it.

The only explanation for jamming from one side only is the feed ramp on that side. You could file it down some but being a factory built AR, I would send it back and let ruger deal with it.

It's on its way to Ruger. Just got it to the FedEx hub today at 2pm. The Return label they emailed me was 2 day shipping. I could not add insurance though so its gonna be rough until it gets back to me.

I may be able to tell if they replace something now. Unfortunately. Except for the barrel extension/ramps I won't have an idea unless they file down or something.
I did read on rugerforum.net someone said they had replaced gas block and ejector on theirs, so maybe they are giving note.?
I am wondering if maybe they mixed up a barrel extension. I've seen a .350 model, and a .300 model. Do they require a higher angle from the mag to feed compared to a 556? Maybe that's why bullet was being jammed almost upward in the receiver and the bolt denting the casing right below the neck.?

Well I received my pistol back from Ruger this evening. The letter they sent stated that they replaced the carrier, they also Test fired 20 rounds of frontier ammo flawlessly.
I Will be trying it out asap.

That must have been one messed up carrier to cause that issue. How in the world could it be miss-aligned on one side only?
Good luck. I hope your issue has been solved.

I did shoot this past weekend finally.
It works as expected now. Time to get the red dot dialed in.

Yes, an unpleasant situation with weapons. If you have tried everything, just return it and let them exchange it for you. Why let it get on your nerves?? I had a funny case,my gun didn't want to work properly either and I didn't understand why. I bought it from a dude on the Internet, so I couldn't exchange it. I tried all the ways except one, to clean the weapon. I accidentally came across a review on bulkmunitions.com/how-to-clean-a-pistol-a-complete-guide/, it was detailed that this could cause the gun to malfunction. In my defense, I was new to carrying a gun.
